hola amigos y familia. i'm here in ecuador. i love my family & so far things are going great. i have a whole entry about yesterday ready to post but since i dont have internet @ the house i havent been able to post it yet. and it's saved on my laptop so this is just a quick entry to tide you over until i can get wireless somewhere to post the already written synopsis.
today i got up and got ready. then my host mother drove me to campus. on the way she showed me the bus that i will be taking to and from school. it costs .25 a ride. looks pretty easy. today was orientation. long. lots of talking and information thrown at me but no registering for classes yet. right now i am waiting for my host sister to come and pick me up. she should be here around 3:30. ive met some nice people. really nice. everyone is nice here but no real friends yet, of course. hopefully once i get a phone and spend some more time with these people it will be a really enjoyable experience. for now its just hanging out @ home, which is fine. i just like to be able to hang out with friends, you know.
anywho, nothing else to say really for today because all ive done so far is orientation stuff and eat. but later tonight i may write another entry on my computer to post at a later date if something exciting happens.

25 cents a ride? Incredible. I'd ride the bus all day long just to take advantage of that deal.
